1. When can I check & confirm my photo and signature before admit card is
generated?
Candidate photo forms shall be uploaded on first come first served basis
until December 5th 2008. Candidates have to check their photo and signature
as and when they receive the message and confirm by 15th December 2008. |
2. When are XAT 2009 results out?
Results will be available on the website from 31st January 2009. |
3. Clarification regarding XLRI Payment Advice (PA) Form envelope
Please note that for dispatching the PA Form through courier/speed post you
will have to strike-off the Post Box 222, which is printed on the envelope.
Also note that XLRI's new pin code is 831035 and earlier it was 831001.
Both pin codes are valid. |

5. When does the Registration for XAT 2009 Start?
Registration for XAT 2009 start on 01-Sep-2008 and ends on 30th Nov 2008. |
6. What is the last date for receiving XAT 2009 PP form at XAT Office, XLRI?
Last date is 5th December 2008 |
7. What is the eligibility criteria for taking XAT 2009?
A bachelors degree under 10+2+3 system recognized by a university or a
deemed university is our eligibility criteria. |
8. I have less than 50% in graduation, am I eligible to apply for XAT?
Yes, you are eligible to apply for XAT 2009. |
9. I am in the final year of my graduation, am I eligible to take XAT for
applying to XLRI or 60 other XLRI associated Management Institutes?
Yes, you are eligible for admission to XLRI. You need to complete your
final year examination by June 10, 2009. Other XAT Members Institutes may
have a different date regarding the completion of the final examination. |
10. By Buying and filling in the XAT form, am I eligible for XLRI and other
Institutes?
The XAT is a common test for admission into academic programmes of XLRI and
more than 60 other Institutes (refer XAT member Institutes in the home
page). However if you are interested in XLRI or other XAT member
Institutes, you need to obtain their prospectus and register for the
concerned Institute. |
11. How many Centre are there for the Test?
There are 31 cities in which XAT exam shall be conducted. In Metros and
large cities there will be multiple Test Centre. |
12. Can I change my Test City / Mailing Address details after applying the
online in filling of the form?
Yes, you can make any modifications on or before November 30, 2008. |
13. When shall I receive the XAT 2009 Admit Card?
You can download your admit card from our website www.xlri.edu any time
during December 18, 2008 – January 1, 2009. XAT office will not be sending
admit cards to any candidates. |
14. When do I get to know the Centre address for XAT 2009?
You can visit our website xlri.edu any time during December 18, 2008 –
January 1, 2009 to know about the Centre. |
15. What time do I report to the test Centre?
You are expected to reach the Test Centre before 9 am on the day of the
test. This will help you to locate your seat and give you sometime to
reflect. |
16. What is the duration of the test?
The test will be of 2 ½ hours i.e. from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm. |
17. What is the kind of Test and what are the different components?
The test is of multiple choice type which will be of 2 hours duration
followed by an essay test which is of 20 minutes duration. |
